Actvities for Families and Children
Saturday Special Event Craft AfternoonsFamilies, children 10 and under. 
1 - 3:00pm.  No Fee.  Eckville Elementary Library.
January, February, March and April 2018.
Watch the Eckville Rec Board Facebook page, and flyers sent home from the Eckville Elementary School for specific dates.

Eckville Library:  The library has many programs we run throughout the year for all ages.  For information about these Eckville LIbrary programs contact Carol at 746-3240.
Pre -School Programs:
Eckville Playgroup:  10am - Noon.  Thursdays.  Eckville Community Centre. 
Ages 6 and under.  No Fee.  Starts Thurs. Sept. 17.  Some mornings will also include special events.  Everyone is welcome.

Eckville Play Academy: Ages 3 to 4.  Eckville Elementary School.  Wednesday mornings with a certified teacher.  For more information, and to register, check out the Eckville Elementary School website.
Activities for Adults and Youth
Computer courses
Basic computer instruction, introduction to the internet and photo editing courses.  Advanced computer programs:  contact Powers Enterprises 746-2944 or Eckville Library 746-3240 for information on these programs and fees.
Eckville Handicraft:  All ages.  Membership $45. Eckville Community Centre.
Sewing and Quilting:  Every Wednesday 9am - 3pm.

Weaving:  for information on times and dates contact Pam at 746-2482.
Eckville Youth Group:  Meets Wednesdays at 7pm at the Friendship Centre.  All youth ages 13 and older welcome.  Just drop-in.

Activities for All

Movie Nights:  Starts at 7:00pm.  Friendship Centre. $2 for youth, $5 for adults & $12 for families.

Fitness Programs:
Coyote Fitness(Women's only gym) Gym facilities, circuit training, free weights, cardio equipment, personal training, fitness classes.  Classes include hot yoga, mom’n’me, boot camp, yoga, pilates and cardio kickboxing.  Gymnastics and Tumbling Basics, cheer:  Ages 3 – 17.  Foundations of mat gymnastics including somersaults, rolls, handstands and more.  For more information and to register contact Jodi at 746-8348.
Crank Gym We offer Freestyle Wrestling for children Ages 6 – 11years and Youth Ages 12 - 15.  We also have catch and wrestling for adults and a Father and son wrestling program.  For more information call Adam or Renee at 403-550-9710, or stop by Crank gym.  Also, check out our facebook page crankgym inc.
Yoga Programs:  Peace in a Pod Yoga Studio offers YOGA for all ages and all levels of students. We offer yoga to toddlers/kids/Tweens/teens, yoga for athletes, Hot Power Flow, Candlelit Yin, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Gentle Hatha, Sleepy Time Yoga and guided meditation (yoga nidra). We also have special pre-registered classes running at certain times like Pre-natal Classes, Senior Classes and Mom and Baby Classes.  Check out our Facebook page or website for more info

Activities for All (Cont.)
Impact Dance Studio:  Is a recreational dance studio based in Eckville, offering classes to students in Central Alberta. We specialize in dance classes for students aged 3 and up in the disciplines of jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, and creative movement. Adult classes are also available.

Lakeview Parent Link- Eckville,are places or programs that parents and caregivers can go with their children 0 – 5 years.
